AAPM 28th Annual Meeting
Call for Commercially Supported Symposia
February 23-26, 2012
Palm Springs, CA
Welcome to the AAPM 2012 Annual Meeting Call for Commercially Supported Symposia!
The following information will remain on the AAPM Web site through the conclusion of the 2012 AAPM Annual Meeting.
The American Academy of Pain Medicine (AAPM) invites its Corporate Relations Council Members and their medical education partners to submit proposals for symposia to be presented as part of the official Independent Satellite Program in conjunction with the AAPM Annual Meeting.
Independent CME and Non-CME Satellite Symposia Program is the exclusive venue for educational programs supported by grants from industry during dedicated time slots during the AAPM Annual Meeting and Preconference Programs. Satellite symposia will be held during breakfast, lunch and dinner hours that do not compete with other scheduled AAPM programs or social activities. AAPM will not approve of any other educational programs or social events directed at the same audience in the same destination over the official dates and times of the AAPM Annual Meeting.
The AAPM 2012 Annual Meeting Program Committee will review all proposals submitted. Criteria for acceptance of a proposal include the following:
- The topic is timely and of broad interest to the AAPM membership and the audience of pain specialists
- The program meets updated ACCME Criteria and is compliant with the Standards for Commercial Support
- The proposed program is designated for CME credit by an ACCME accredited provider
The number of Independent CME Satellite Symposia that may be accepted will be determined by the Program Committee based on available space and program hours, and the quality of the proposals received. The Program Committee may request revisions to the proposed satellite programs prior to approval in an effort to balance the Annual Meeting program and minimize duplication. Any suggested revisions will be communicated to the submitter in writing. AAPM may decline to accept any proposals at its discretion.
Please abide by the guidelines and timeline detailed in the Guidelines linked below.
AAPM Guidelines for Satellite Symposia.
